Chapter 148

Hingthing Lily was relieved about was that Ariana's blood wasn't on her hands, despite it being what she had initially wanted.

Lily snapped out of her thoughts and smiled at herself in the mirror once more.

"What were you thinking about? You spaced out for a while," Sarah asked.

“Everything I've been through to get to this point," Lily said.

Sarah smiled. “I can imagine. I'm so glad you overcame everything and made it to this special day of yours."

Lily nodded with a smile.

Viola entered the large closet where the two friends were laughing happily."Wow, Mommy, you look so beautiful!" Viola, already dressed, walked around her mother to take in the view.

Lily was in awe when she saw how beautiful her little princess looked in her dress. Viola was wearing a little white princess ball gown.

“And you look even more beautiful, Princess."

"Thank you, Mommy, but you're more beautiful. I spoke to Daddy a few minutes ago, and he said I should be a good daughter and come help my Mommy who's running late," she pouted.

Lily and Sarah gasped. They had been busy admiring Lily's dress and had forgotten how time was slipping by.

“Okay, okay, let's go, let's go!"' Lily said and immediately kissed Viola.

Viola smiled. “Mommy, you look like a goddess in that dress," she said.

Lily smiled because that was exactly what Sarah had said too. "Thank you, baby."

She held Viola's hand and Sarah's as they headed toward the elevator.

Outside the house, there were many cars waiting to take them to the church. Lily would be traveling in the limousine while the others would take the other vehicles.

Everyone she knew was attending the wedding, including the staff. They all got into the cars and headed to the church.

If there was one wedding everyone wanted to attend, it was the wedding of Alexander Kane and Lily Bake. The wedding of two people from two powerful families was the talk of the town.

Dignitaries, millionaires, billionaires, celebrities, and all the socialites wanted to be there for this momentous day.

The church was already filled with luxury cars and guests in stunning outfits. The grand cathedral had towering spires reaching the sky, adorned with intricate stained glass windows casting a beautiful kaleidoscope of colors inside.

Alexander stood outside, welcoming theguests, but his eyes were always on his watch and the gate. The ceremony was set to start soon, but Lily had not arrived yet, and this made him anxious.

“Calm down, Alexander, she'll be here soon," Ethan said.

After the incident in the forest between the two friends. Ethan had vowed to have nothing to do with Alexander again because of the way he had

treated him. He stayed away until two months ago when Alexander came to his office to apologize.

Ethan thought their friendship was over, not believing that someone like Alexander would ever apologize. What surprised him even more was how sincere and emotional the apology had been.

Alexander had told him how much of a good friend he had been and how much he valued their friendship. They had patched things up, and Ethan was gladthey resolved their differences before the wedding because it would have saddened him if he couldn't be there for his friend on this important day.

“I know, but I can't help it.”

Ethan didn't think Alexander would be this nervous, but there was only one person who could make him feel this way-Lily.

Alexander's eyes were still fixed on the entrance when her limousine arrived, and a smile spread across his face.

The guests turned their attention to see the bride as she stepped out of the limousine. It wasn't just any limousine-it was the latest Mercedes model.

The reporters and cameramen focused on the bride.

Viola was the first to step out as the little bride, and everyone marveled at how beautiful she looked.

Then the bride emerged, and everyone stood in awe of her stunning gown. The cameramen snapped photos and filmed videos. Even the guests took photos. The event was being broadcast live, so those watching from home could also witness the beauty of her dress. Her wedding gown was a limited masterpiece, crafted by the best seamstress in the world. Every

stitch was meticulously done, and designers were already planning to replicate it, though they knew it could never compare.

She wore a veil, but even so, Alexander could tell she looked like a goddess in that gown. He couldn't take his eyes off the beautiful woman who was about to become his wife.

He slowly walked toward her and took her hand. He was wearing a perfectly tailored, deep navy blue suit, another límited masterpiece.

His suit matched her wedding bouquet, which was a deep blue and white.

He extended his hand, and she took it. “You look like an angel, baby,” he whispered in her ear, causing Lily to smile.

The priest spoke, “You should come in, I'll take it from here,” with a smile.

Alexander nodded and began walking inside, but not before glancing back at his bride.

The other guests who had just arrived also headed inside, pausing to admire the bride's dress once more.

Viola was excited, holding her small bouquet as she prepared to be the little bride who would walk ahead of her mother.

“Are you ready?" her father asked, and she nodded.

He was grateful to still be alive and well to do this for her. He was the happiest father on earth at that moment.

She took her father's hand, ready to be married in the eyes of God and man to the love of her life.

The music began, and they slowly walked down the aisle, with little Viola

leading the way.

The aisle was lined wvith fragrant flowers, and a red carpet stretched from the entrance to the altar where the groom stood. A magnificent chandelier hung above, casting a warm golden glow on the space. The air was filled with the harmonious sounds of a live orchestra, playing a beautiful symphony that echoed throughout the grand hall.

Everyone's eyes were on the entrance as the bride walked in,escorted by her father.

Grandma Helen felt incredibly emotional. One thing she had prayed for was to see her son married in the church, and now her wish had been fulfilled.

Caleb was also happy. He was grateful to be alive to witness this day. If he passed away now, he would feel fulfilled.

Sarah held her baby in her arms as she watched the moment with her husband Anthony. Michael and Matthew were also glad to be celebrating this day with their dear friend.

Sandra smiled, glancing at her fiancé, who smiled back at her. Soon, she would be walking down the aisle as well.

Eric handed Lily over to Alexander but not before saying this:

"I know you two have been married by law for a few years, but let me tell you-please take care of her," he whispered.

Alexander nodded.

After exchanging vows and saying "I do,” Alexander removed the veil and was once again in awe of how beautiful his bride was.

"You look so beautiful; words can't really express how you look right now.

"he said.

Lily smiled. "And you look handsome."

"I love you so much,Lily."

"And I love you too."

They kissed, and the crowd erupted into applause, cheering for the happy couple.
