Chapter 63
"I can set up a meeting for you," Violet said with absolute confidence, her chin lifted as though the matter were already settled.
Sebastian narrowed his eyes, suspicion flickering across his face. "Yǒu can? From what I've heard, he doesn't see anyone."
"How would you know if you never try? Now that he's resurfaced, and since you admire him so much, I'll do whatever it takes to give you that chance," Violet replied smoothly.
In her mind, it was inconceivable that a man could resist her. With her beauty, her body, and the family name she carried, there was no way Cloudstrider could turn her down. Men were ruled by desire, no matter where their preferences lay.
If she couldn't sway Elias, who preferred men, then how could she possibly fail with some gamer who had shut himself away from the world? Winning him over might require nothing more than a glance, and once that happened, he'd be hopelessly entangled.
"Violet, if you really pull this off, I'll be forever grateful," Sebastian said, his voice laced with sincerity.
"As someone who'll soon be part of your family, helping you is only 'natural," Violet answered sweetly, pressing herself against Rodger's chest as though to seal her words.
Rodger sighed, a half-smile tugging at his lips, "You spoil him far too much."
"You've always spoiled me, so of course I'll do the same for the people who matter to you," Violet murmured, slipping her arms around him with practiced grace.
Rodger's smile softened, his hand lifting to brush against her cheek, his gaze brimming with tender affection. "Rodger, tell me... will you keep spoiling me forever?"Violet asked, her voice light and teasing, sweet enough to melt butter.
"You really need to ask? You saved my life. For that alone, I'll treasure you for the rest of mine," Rodger replied with warmth.
Her lips curved into a radiant smile, but behind it her hand tightened into a fist. The truth gnawed at her-it had been Emilia who pulled Rodge back from death. If that fact ever came to light, would he cast her aside without hesitation and run back to Emilia?
The thought made her blood run cold. For the briefest moment, venom flashed in her eyes. As long as Emilia lived, she was a threat. And Violet knew she would have to find another chance to erase that threat once and for all.

Night fell.
Emilia and Sloane stepped into the glitzy lobby of a newly opened KTV club.
The male escorts lounging inside immediately perked up, their eyes gleaming at the sight of two women whose beauty and striking figures made them stand out like queens among commoners.
After circling the available options, the pair finally made their choices-five escorts in total, each tall,broad-shouldered, and undeniably handsome.
The escorts who hadn't been selected wore their disappointment plainly, some muttering under their breath as the two striking women ignored them.
"I'll claim two, and you can take the rest," Sloane teased, tossing Emilia a playful wink.
"One will do for me. The rest are all yours," Emilia replied coolly. Her finger singled out a clean-cut young man with an innocent face and a hint of shyness. With a simple command, she instructed,"You.Come here."
The chosen escort shuffled over and sat beside her, his posture stiff, hisevery movement clumsy with nerves.
A faint smile tugged at Emilia's lips as she lifted her hand, tilting his chin upward with her fingers. The contact sent a rush of color flooding his cheeks, his ears burning bright red.
"First time at this kind of thing?" she asked softly.
His eyes darted downward, avoiding her gaze as he nodded."Yeah."
The nervous fidget of his fingers betrayed how unsettled he was, and Emilia found his awkward honesty almost amusing.
"You any good at drinking?" Emilia teased, leaning closer until her breath ghosted across his ear, making his shoulders stiffen.
A faint shiver ran through him, his cheeks and ears burning hotter as he kept his gaze fixed anywhere but on her. His long lashes quivered with every stolen glance."Not... not really," he mumbled, his voice faltering with shyness.
Just then, a shadow moved outside the door. A phone lifted, the shutter clicked against the glass, and within seconds the figure vanished down the hall.
