Chapter 64
Inside the hospital room, Sebastian logged off the game just as his phone buzzed with an incoming call from one of his friends.
"Count me out for today. You all go ahead without me," said Sebastian.
"So, are you really going to spend the whole night glued to your screen, just hoping Cloudstrider shows up?" asked his friend.
Sebastian cut him off with a huff. "Worry about yourself. If you're just calling to nag, I'm done talking."
"Hold on! What's got you so worked up? You'll never guess who I just spotted at the KTV club."
"Just say/ what you want to say. Don't make it so suspenseful..." "Haha! Check the group chat-I dropped a photo for everyone to see."
Before Sebastian could answer, the call ended with a click.
"Crazy idiot," Sebastian muttered under his breath, brows drawn tight.
He hadn't planned to check the group chat, but seeing Emilia's name pop up in the preview caught his attention. Did she really go to a club and actually order escorts?
Curiosity getting the better of him, Sebastian opened the chat and scrolled through the new messages.
The moment he saw the photo, his entire expression darkened. Heat surged through his head, and fury swept over him in waves.
"Something wrong? Why do you look so worked up?"Rodger noticed Sebastian's unusual expression and asked.
"Emilia is unbelievable! She's out there making a fool of you, Rodger. Take a look at this!" Sebastian shoved his phone toward him.
Rodger's eyes narrowed as he studied the picture. That woman-she really had some nerve. From the angle, it looked as if Emilia and the young man beside her were locked in a kiss, practically glued together.
Truthfully, there hadn't been anything between them.No kiss. Not even a touch. The camera just happened to capture the scene in the worst possible way.
"She hasn't even finalized the divorce, yet she's already running around looking for a new man. Now she's ordering escorts. She's dragging our name through the mud," said Sebastian, his voice growing rougher as anger built inside him. "Rodger, get her.on the phone. If she keeps acting out and refuses to come home, we're done playing nce."
Already boiling with anger, Rodger already swung his legs out of bed and sat up, realizing he could reach Emilia by phone. He scrolled through his contacts and pressed her number. The call went unanswered.
He shot off a message instead, but the reply never came. When he checked, he realized Emilia had blocked him.
His expression darkened further. The nerve of her to block him! Was she that angry just because he stood her up today? So she'd blocked him and headed off to a KTV club to relax?
"The call isn't going through. Get the car out front.I'm going to change clothes." Not waiting another minute, he made up his mind to handle things personally. Sitting around would only drive him crazy.

At the KTV club.
The door to the private room burst open with a loud crash, and three men swaggered in, cigarette smoke trailing behind them. A half-dozen bodyguards followed close, each one radiating menace. "All five men,get out!"
As chaos erupted, four of the five male escorts scattered, bolting for the door. Only Edwin Morrison, quiet and awkward, remained at Emilia's side, throwing his arms out to shield Emilia and Sloane.
"What's your problem? If you're here to make a scene, I'll get the manager and call the police!" He glanced over his shoulder at Emilia and gave her a reassuring nod. "Don't worry. I won't let anything happen to you."
Emilia's eyes widened in disbelief. She never imagined the quiet young man would turn out to be the bravest of them all.
Yet she knew too well that stepping up against men like these was reckless. With their power and connections, they could do whatever they pleased and walk away untouched.
