Chapter 60

Nathan drove steadily on the street as they headed off to a hotel to have dinner. Hlilda behaved unusually sweet to him.During dinner, she asked him about work and how is day was on a usual. She picked up his food for him and even massaged is back for him diligently even though Nathan told her there was no need to.

When they both sat down to eat, Nathan filled her plate with some food and said. "Have these, they are really tasty."

She was happy as she chewed on her food. As she was eating.she thought about something and raised her head to look at him before asking. "How about we catch a movie after this?"

"Okay." Nathan agreed readily.

His response came as a pleasant surprise to Hilda. She was thrilled. But before she could swallow the next bite on her food.Nathan said. "We are watching a horror movie this time around."

"N- N- No!" She objected desperately with her eyes wide open filled with horror. She had seen a horror movie before and there was no way she would want to watch another. Her legs started trembling as memories of the previous movie started surfacing in her head.

Once she had gone to a cinema to watch a horror movie. The movie was so scary that she couldn't bring herself to finish watching. She was so terrified by the movie so much that she

had to close her eyes and stuff her ears with an ear piece during the entire movie.

When she raised her head to the end of the show, she saw creepy, crawling things with scary background being dismembered in the dark with blood spilling out and spooky music playing in the background.

Even the slightest touch frightened her. This became her ultimate fear, both existentially and psychologically.

At this point, Hilda knew Nathan already know about her ultimate fear. All of a sudden, the tasty and mouth watering food tasted incredibly band. "Is there any way we could watch a different movie?" Hilda asked.

Nathan looked up at her before adding more food to her plate."This depends on your performance." He replied in a husky voice.

After she heard his husky voice, an idea dawned on her. She stood up from her chair and stood behind Nathan's chair. She then locked her arms around his neck. She then gave him a peck on his neck.

This would definitely help make him change his mind about the movie. She thought. However, the man's face darkened and he frowned. He called her name out. "Hilda Adams!"

"Huh?" Hilda was shocked at his sudden outburst.

"Did you wipe your mouth after eating?" Nathan asked.

Hilda looked elsewhere than his eyes and bit her lips. That hadn't occurred to her. She knew a certain someone was a clean freak and she had made an innocent mistake. But it was too late for her.

She quickly let go of him and drew a tissue to wipe her mouth when it hit her that it might be wiser to wipe a certain some one's neck first.

So she gentle wiped her husband's neck with a grin playing on her lips before wiping hers.

After throwing the tissue into the bin, she wrapped her arms around his neck from behind again and asked. "So do we get to watch a different movie with my performance?"

"I didn't feel any sincerity from the kiss. And perfunctory kisses do not satisfy me." Nathan said calmly.

Frustrated.Hilda buried her face in his neck and rubbed it back and forth. Her breath drifted lightly against Nathan's skin.Nathan's hand stopped mid air has he was about to put food in his mouth. 'This woman is definitely doing this intentionally.He thought.

He slowly put his cutlery down and wiped his mouth and hand with a clean and wet napkin. The next second, he reached out and pulled Hilda into his arms.

Hilda fell into his arms and sat on his laps. She looked at the door of the private room nervously, with her face blushing bright red1. Although it was a private booth and no one would

come in unless asked to, she was still nervous. 'What if someone enters?' She thought.

Nathan took her hand in his and pulled her in for a deep kiss on the lips even before she could say anything. His tongue was restless in her mouth as he explore her mouth. His breathing became heavier and heavier with each passing time of the kiss.They were so passionately entangled in the kiss that they both couldn't bring them self to stop.

Nathan paused with his lips still hovering over Hilda's lips and asked in a husky voice. "Let's go home, shall we? We can catch the movie tomorrow."

"Yes." Hilda replied in a breathless voice. Her reply came swift as she was aware of what he meant by that.

Compared with watching a horror movie, kissing Nathan sounded like a much better choice. So she agreed to it without thinking when Nathan suggested that they head home.

Nathan didn't wait for her to finish dinner before pulling her into his embrace and walking out of the private booth.

What would be happening after they got home was way too exciting for Hilda. Too embarrassed to look at Nathan,she kept her head down and pretended to play with her phone, flushing as she thought about the impending scene ahead of her.

When they were about to arrive at Nathan's residence,Nathan's phone rang suddenly. Hilda raised her head and saw the caller Id of the person calling on the LED screen of the vehcle back

up camera. It was Nathan's grandfather. The Patriarch.

Nathan immediately answered the call. "Hi grandpa."

The Patriarch's anxious voice came from the other end."Nate,there are some people tailing Gloria's car at this moment. They seem to be going for her. She had been trying her best to loose them but they keep tailing her, You need to go check her out now."

Nathan's face darkened with fury when he heard what the Patriarch said. "Why should I do that grandpa? And I'm kind of busy at the moment too."

"What could keep you busy at this time when Gloria is in trouble? You know she is my guest and your fiancée. Her grandfather is my good friend and you would be getting engaged to her soon. You need to go and rescue her now because if anything happens to her, I wouldn't let you off."The grandpa yelled furiously into the receiver before hanging up.

When Hilda heard the grandpa's words, the exciteness and sweetness in her heart had died away.

"That was my grandpa. But don't take his words seriously,I would never get married to Gloria. Only you can be my wife."Nathan said hurriedly before steering the wheel to the direction the Patriarch had sent him.
