Chapter 93

The next day, inside The Bridals Shop, Carmen was accompanied by Daniel's mother as she tried on her wedding gown. She was so elated when she received the caIl from Daniel s mother earlier who volunteered to help her choose her gown.Although the wedding date wasn't yet fixed.

To her, she thought they couldn't wait to add her the pretty Carmen to join their family. She was so excited that she postponed her meet and greet with her fans that she had to attend.

"My dear, this dress will be the perfect fit. Go on and try it on.It will look prettier on you."

"Alright Aunt" Carmen responded with her face full of smiles.She had been accompanied by Daniel's mom to try on her wedding dress. She couldn't believe it.

Although it was expected that she might help with the wedding planning. Carmen never in her wildest dream think about her personally volunteering to help her choose her gown.

Who would have thought that the wedding was going to happen this soon? But what others didn't know was that the Stephenson family was on the verge of declaring bankruptcy.That was the need for the rush all of a sudden.

Daniel agreed to pursue Carmen all thanks to his dad. His family already knew he was dating Hilda. And how much he cared for her. But after their company started losing contracts

and inflation came in, they needed a chance at surviving.

The Adams Group was the perfect way to jump back into the game. But when Mr. Stephenson, Daniel's dad got to know that Hilda was just a live in daughter of the Adams family and that she had no links to the Adams Group, he persuaded his son to go in for the big fish of the Adams family rather.

The Adams family had many beautiful daughters. He was forced to send Hilda whom he loved away in hopes of getting married to one of her cousins or sisters. And then acquire access to their share in the Adams Group and in turn divorce them. Even before Hilda will be back.

Carmen became bait as she immediately threw herself at Daniel as soon as Hilda was gone. Daniel then knew she would be the perfect candidate. He went along with Carmen's antics and in turn he woed her.

Carmen who went to only have a taste of Daniel and to boost about it to Hilda ended up falling for Daniel. To her,Daniel was also in love with her but no one knew where Daniel's feelings really lied.

Early this morning, his dad called him into the study and asked him to rush with the marriage. He didn't want to but there was no other way. If he wanted to still be the heir to the Stephenson Group, then he would have to rush with the wedding.

But if only he wanted to be the heir to nothing at a1.then he

could choose to hold off the wedding. That was all his dad said to him.

Daniel had known nothing than being a spoilt brat rich kid.Since he was born, he had been living in riches. He had been living like a prince and with his pride, he was sure he wouldn't survive even a day living poor.

He had never thought that there was going to come a day when his family would be this poor. Thinking about the fact that things were going to change, he made up his mind.

At the very least, he could get to divorce her after getting her shares in the Adams Group.

Sonnia, whose family own The Bridals Shop was currently checking out some gown designs with their designer when she heard Carmen voice. She paused and got up to check who it was.

"Miss Sonnia, where are you going to? Your design still needs a little finishing. Don't think because you got me lunch so you can go out today too" Debbie called after her.

"Shh. I'm not going anywhere. I will complete my design later and don't worry. The lunch from earlier wasn't me bribing you.

I got something else to bribe you with later" Sonnia smiledas she replied and walked out of Debbie's office.

Debbie shook her head when she heard what Sonnia had said.

She had been covering up for Sonnia every time she had a design to complete.

Sonnia was never interested in fashion designing. She had always wanted to be a software engineer. But because her parents were in the designing field, she had to switch courses.

Debbie had been with Sonnia for so long that she knew Sonnia still took computer science courses aside the designing. She was a part timer at her parents fashion shop but since she had computer science classes, she always bribes Debbie with free lunch or movie tickets.

Debbie loved Sonnia like her younger sister so practically,she would give in to her bribes so she could go for her classes.Although Sonnia didn't take the fashion designing seriously,she had been designing some few gowns since she was a certified designer.

But designing without passion was just raw. Sonnia didn't have that passion and so all her designs were raw till Debbie adds a little touch.

And now that she was teaching Sonnia a little or two about her designs, this was when she decided to go out.

Debbie smiled and shook her head as she watched Hilda walk out of her office and whispered. "What would you do without me."

She was so fond of her that she just had to do the finishes to the designs without thinking twice.
