Chapter 95
"Oh,how could she!"
"What the hell?"
"Did she just push her?"
The shoppers in the shop whispered among themselves when Carmen fell down. Of course, everyone had seen that Carmen was on the floor because Sonnia pushed her. But what they didn't know was that, the only thing Sonnia did was to pull her hand away from Carmen's grip without any force and that Carmen fell on her own accord.
"Ouch" Carmen groaned as she tried to get up from the floor.
Mrs. Stephenson reached out to help her. After Carmen was up,Mrs. Stephenson turned and 'Smack'. A sound was heard.
Sonnia couldn't believe it. She had been slapped.Holding her cheeks, she stared at Mrs. Stephenson with her hand on her cheeks. "You slapped me?" She couldn't comprehend what had just happened.
"Yes I did. And I wouldn't mind doing it over and over again if you don't stop disrespecting us." Mrs. Stephenson said angrily. She didn't expect that Carmen would be pushed down by Sonnia. And to her, Sonnia was acting too pompous.
"Is this how you treat your customers? I'm even surprise you still have people willing to shop here with this bad customer
service. How could you push her down? After all the insults you haul at her, that didn't seem enough? She is my daughter in law to be so I wouldn't stand here and watch you harm her.I bet you already know who I am?" She added.
Mrs. Stephenson was known as a woman with pride and arrogance.Although people in their social circle didn't fear her, those below her social status is seen in her eyes as pests. She doesn't have no regard for humanity and only cared for those she loved.
Now that Carmen is going to be a part of her family, she wouldn't stand still and watch a common shop attendant to speak ill of her.
"Aunt, it's fine don't worry. It's my fault for coming to shop here. We should just leave for somewhere else. And I don't intend to press charges against her for pushing me now." As Carmen said this, she headed for the fitting room to go and change.
"No my dear. I'm calling the police. This little girl here wouldn'
t just go scot free after all the insults and harm she just caused." When Mrs. Stephenson heard what Carmen said about not wanting to press charges and how she was just going to walk out of the shop, she felt like someone else should be the one
leaving.
Of course Sonnia should leave here but not with her freedom. She had to make her suffer for what she had just done. With that, she took her cellphone from her bag and called her son.
"Daniel, you need to come to the bridal shop now. And don't come alone my dear. Call the police to tag along as someone has beaten up Carmen without a cause." She said in an equally aggrieved and angered tone.
Daniel who was in a meeting at this time furrowed his brows when he heard his mom. He couldn't understand what she meant by that. He looked at the people present and then to his dad.
Although he hadn't wanted to answer the call, when he saw that it was his mom, he had to. After all he didn't want any problems with the wedding. He got up, whispered into his dad's ear who also frowned when he heard what he said and then excused himself.
Daniel has his hand on his forehead as he excused himself from the conference hall. All his mom had to do was help Carmen pick a wedding dress for herself. So what's with this trouble? He was already tired with fighting with Carmen over Hilda and other minor stuffs. So who else will offend them now?
He hurriedly got into the elevator and headed for the car park.As soon as he got into his car, he called Emmett Reils, the police captain of the investigation unit in the city. Emmett and Daniel were mates in the university. So they kinda had that cordial relationship.
Emmett owed Daniel a favor. So Daniel asked him to help out with the trouble at the bridals. After telling Emmett the
location and Emmett agreeing to pass by and solve the issue himself. Daniel hanged up, stepped on the gas pedal and headed for the bridals.
Debbie who heard the commotion from her office rushed down and was greeted with the sigght of Mrs. Stephenson slapping Sonnia. She rushed to Sonnia's aid as she shouted at the shop attendants and designers who were currently gathering around to catch a glimpse of what was going to happen. "What's going on here? And don't you have things to be doing? Disperse and get back to work if you do not intend to loose your jobs."
After which he turned to Sonnia. "Are you okay?"
Sonnia just nodded her head as when she saw how caring Debbie was. "I'm fine. Just that it feels like I got a feww broken teeth."
Debbie couldn't help but shake her head as she scolded. "How can you still be joking around with what's going on? Come on and tell me what happened here."
Sonnia still had her hand on her cheeks and about to respond to Debbie when Mrs. Stephenson beat her to it.
"Are you the manager here?" She asked fuming with rage.
"Yes please I am." Debbie turned around and replied respectfully.
"So why would you rather tend to her first than us the customers? She needs to be dismissed right at this moment for
how she even treated the customers. She came out of no where and started sprewing nonsense because of something she might have heard or seen without any tangible evidence and then hauled insults at them going as far as to even pushed Carmen down onto the cold hard floor."
Mrs. Stephenson didn't know that Sonnia's parent owned the shop so she asked Debbie to dismiss her. Debbie was amused at first when she heard what Mrs. Stephenson said about her dismissing Sonnia. But when she heard about how she sprewed nonsense and hauled insults at them, she turned and stared at Sonnia bewildered.
She knew Sonnia had this bad temper but taking it out on their customers? There must be something more to it. She thought.
Sonnia couldn't take it anymore after she heard all what Mrs.Stephenson said. Although she might have gone overboard, all what she said was the truth. And she didn't push Carmen down. Carmen fell by her own self. She pointed her hand at Mrs. Stephenson with glared eyes.
"I didn't retaliate when you sapped me but that doesn't mean I wouldn't beat you up right here and now if you don't stop twisting what actually happen. I didn't push your dear daughter in law to be."
"She had wanted to fall down by herself and she did. There is no way I will stoop so lowto that two facedb*tch's antics."She bellowed angrilly.
Mrs. Stephenson who had just seen her son arrived wailed as she had her chin puffed up to Sonnia. "Slap me back then.Slap me!" She dared.
Sonnia who had her back to the door and had no idea what was behind her raised her hand and was about to slap Mrs.Stephenson as she couldn't believe the 'old witch' to her. "I will gladly slap you back you old witch!" She responded.
Daniel doubled his steps when he saw what Sonnia was about to do. Sonnia's hand was just mere meters away from Mrs.Stephenson's face when someone grabbed her hand.
"What the hell?"
She turned to be faced with Debbie holding her grip. She stared at her confused.
"You heard her..."
