Chapter 167
Sophia Laurent tapped her fingers lightly on the desk and looked up at Melanie Vance. "Julian Lombardi? The charming male lead from River Banquet?"
A cold smirk curled at the corner of her lips.
Richard Lowell had truly kicked a hornet's nest this time.
"Besides the video, is there any other evidence?"
Melanie pulled a USB drive from her bag. "Julian cheated with Vanessa Kalmien, back when they weren't as famous. Scarlett witnessed them together in the apartment..."
Her voice suddenly faltered, her face turning pale.
"We later found their hotel records and plenty of intimate photos."
Sophia took the USB, her brows furrowing.
"Was Scarlett's involvement with Derek Langley consensual?"
Melanie's head snapped up, her eyes reddening.
She hadn't expected Sophia to see through the smear campaign with such clarity.
"No."
Melanie clenched her fists. "Julian got Scarlett drunk and personally delivered her to Derek's room."
Sophia's pupils constricted.
The actor who always played the gentle, considerate lead was nothing but filth behind the scenes.
"But Derek didn't succeed," Melanie quickly added. "Even drunk, Scarlett fought back hard enough to send him to the hospital. She even recorded the whole thing."
She let out a bitter laugh. "But with her contract binding her, the evidence was useless."
Sophia's fingers resumed their rhythmic tapping.
So this was why Scarlett had been trapped under Lowell Entertainment's thumb all this time.
"With solid evidence, this will be easy."
A sharp glint flashed in Sophia's eyes as she smiled.
"Leave it all to me."
It was time to make these scum pay.
After Melanie hurried out, Sophia logged into Pearl Entertainment's official account.
The comments section exploded with vitriol:
"Pearl only collects trash now?"
"Sophia's no saint herself. Now she's signing Scarlett?"
"How dare she promote such a filthy woman? Doesn't she fear karma?"
Sophia smirked coldly and typed swiftly:
"The truth will come out. Who's really filthy here?"
She hit send, her icy gaze fixed on Julian's promotional still on the screen.
The real show was just beginning.
