Chapter 27
"Voice of the Heart" is Blueberry TV's most ambitious music competition reality show this year.
The entry barrier is remarkably low. Contestants range from street performers to professional singers.
Anyone with a musical dream can take this stage.
The entire show is broadcast live, allowing audiences to witness contestants' transformations. Ultimately, a professional judging panel selects the most promising new star.
After two seasons, the ratings have skyrocketed.
Now the third season is in preparation.
Sophia Laurent's inbox received the show's invitation for the third time.
She had declined the previous two.
This time, curiosity struck her. She wanted to see for herself what this so-called musical prodigy, elevated to godlike status, was truly made of.
Now that she'd stepped down as CEO of Lowell Group, she had all the time in the world.
Her fingertip tapped the screen. "Schedule cleared. Send the contract."
As she was about to exit, an instant reply popped up.
"Oh my god! Composer T finally said yes!"
"Contract will be in your inbox immediately!"
"When would you like to sign? We're at your disposal!"
Sophia watched the frantic messages with an amused smirk. "Tomorrow morning. Send the address."
"Perfect! Shall we arrange a car for you?"
"Unnecessary."
"Understood! Please review the contract first. We'll send the location shortly!"
She closed her phone and headed to the bathroom.
Post-nap radiance glowed on her skin. She smoothed a few stray strands in the mirror.
Descending the stairs, she contemplated finding a new residence. Staying at the company long-term was hardly appropriate.
"Madam." The butler waited respectfully at the foot of the stairs.
Sophia nodded. "Yes?"
"Patriarch Valdemar requests your presence for dinner at the sanatorium."
Her lashes flickered slightly.
An unexpected summons from the Valdemar family patriarch?
She maintained her composure. "Very well."
The butler gestured toward the door. "The car is ready."
Picking up her handbag, a thoughtful glint passed through her eyes.
This carefully arranged dinner—she was curious what performance awaited her.
