Chapter 217
Adrian Valdemar's face darkened in silence.
The office door suddenly swung open.
Henry Chamberlain entered with a stack of files.
He froze mid-step at the scene before him.
Adrian's eyes lit up as if spotting a lifeline.
"Henry! Get this madwoman out of here!"
Henry's gaze landed on the belt in Sophia Laurent's hand.
"Madam, what's going on?"
The Sophia he knew was always gentle. Violence was unlike her.
Sophia smirked coldly.
"Your young master insists on dragging me to a bar."
Henry's brow furrowed slightly.
"Young master, you're..."
Adrian cut him off impatiently.
"Stop wasting time! Call security!"
Henry sighed.
"Young master, Madam is currently the acting CEO of Valdemar Holdings."
Adrian scoffed.
"On what merit? She must have tricked Grandfather!"
Henry's expression turned stern.
"Mind your words."
He changed tack.
"Aren't you supposed to be on set right now?"
Adrian stiffened.
"That trash production isn't worthy of me."
Henry's frown deepened.
"You walked off set again?"
Adrian shrugged carelessly.
"Let someone else play the role!"
Henry took a deep breath.
"How do you plan to explain this to the Patriarch?"
Adrian snorted.
"Grandfather has better things to do than worry about such trivial matters."
"What about the breach fee?"
Adrian answered without hesitation.
"That's why I'm here—to get it from you."
Henry was speechless.
"Master Alexander did instruct me to..."
But this was already the third time this month.
Adrian treated acting like a whim—coming and going as he pleased.
Henry recalled this was merely a supporting role.
"Perhaps you should return and finish filming?"
Adrian's refusal was absolute.
"Not a chance!"
Henry massaged his temples.
