Chapter 295
The Trap
"Adrian, let me go."
Sophia struggled, her voice trembling with panic. If anyone captured this compromising scene, her reputation in the industry would be ruined.
"No." Adrian's grip remained ironclad. "If I release you, you'll just pounce on me again."
She bit her lower lip.
"Adrian, I genuinely want to help you."
He let out a cold laugh. "I'd sooner believe I'm the Jade Emperor."
The sudden whirring of a chainsaw erupted outside.
"Insane!"
Adrian's pupils constricted. He realized even if they were innocent, these intruders would force a scandal upon them.
Still no cell signal.
Frustration coiled through him as he clenched his fists. He should've informed Sophia before coming here.
The chainsaw's roar grew louder.
Adrian's gaze darted across the room before snatching up a toilet plunger, brandishing it toward the door.
The lock shattered under the assault.
"Adrian, what are you—"
Damian stood in the doorway, feigning shock, flanked by photographers with cameras at the ready.
"Even if Grandfather disapproves of you, this behavior is unacceptable."
A barrage of camera flashes illuminated the room.
Adrian smirked. "Ah, the bastard son finally shows himself."
"The Valdemars don't acknowledge trash like you."
Damian's face darkened.
"Quite the scandalous rendezvous." His smile turned venomous.
Only then did Sophia comprehend the trap, curling into herself with a shriek.
"Stop filming! Second Young Master, make them stop!"
Damian arched a brow in mockery.
"Director Sophia lives up to her notorious reputation."
Ice flooded her veins. She finally understood—she'd been disposable from the start.
"Young Master Valdemar, you can't do this—"
Slap!
A stinging blow whipped across her face.
"You tried to seduce Adrian yourself. What does that have to do with me?"
Damian's eyes gleamed with malice.
"Choose your next words carefully."
